A message from President Tipson:
I established the Vincent Hynson Scholarship in partnership with community leaders in 2006 as an annually-funded full scholarships for students from under-represented groups within the local community. Sarah’s and my personal gifts have been augmented by support from community leaders, foundations, and committed donors. Named in honor of the late alumnus the Reverend Vincent Hynson ’87, who passed away in 2004, the Vincent Hynson Scholarship is awarded to a graduate of a secondary school in Kent County who demonstrates financial need and whose achievements and aspirations most closely emulate the values of the Reverend Hynson—an exemplary teacher, pastor, coach, and leader in the Kent County community.
